Kia Ora, Welcome.
We are “hash tag #blessed” to be born and raised in the North Island of a little country at the bottom of the planet earth that they call New Zealand. We call this place Aotearoa and we are humbled to share our unique perspective as we explore our place in the sun (clouds & rain), that is kinda off the beaten track but home to extraordinary natural environments and authentic multi-generational experiences.
Being indigenous to the land and focused on sharing the best that this piece of paradise has to offer gives us a unique perspective as we travel the Eastern Bay of Plenty, wider Bay of Plenty and Central North Island. Join us as we seek out luxurious leisure experiences, off the beaten track natural attractions, uniquely kiwi experiences, authentic and action packed adventures and exclusive food, beverage, nightlife and accommodation hot spots.
I’m Erena, the wife, mum, creative strategist of this life, content marketer for this blog. Hubby, surfer, super daddy, doer & loyal G (for Guthrie) Lionel will share his reflections on what we experience on the regular. And we will be exploring with our family, making memories and times to be thankful for. We’ll normally take the baby/big boy with us – our golden haired little native 4 year old and his big bro, the skux 14 year old dude. Our big baby is a grown up now, so sometimes she’ll be with us but sometimes she won’t. Sometimes, just Lionel & I will do something – Because sometimes, you just need to leave the kids at home and get out and explore as a couple. Often, we’ll bring some of our extended family members along and we hope that our friends, new & existing, will join us for fun times as well.
My hope is that you are encouraged to explore the road less travelled, to come to New Zealand AOTEAROA and experience what there is on offer, in style, comfort, privacy and safety. We love this part of the world and we hope that once you’ve read/followed our blog, you’ll understand why we think that everyone should visit our piece of paradise at least once.
